Every episode belongs to its author.

Copyright in each episode — audio, video, title, description, chapters, transcript and artwork — belongs to the individual author identified on the episode page. Sonder holds only the limited licence needed to display it (see our Terms, section 5). Sonder does not claim ownership and cannot grant rights on an author's behalf beyond what is listed here.

Each page states its author in machine-readable form: schema.org JSON-LD (Article → author → Person with a permanent @id), <meta name="author"> and the HTTP header Link: …; rel="author".

• Link to any episode or profile page.
• Quote up to 200 words of a description or transcript, or up to 30 seconds of audio/video, for commentary, criticism, news reporting or research — provided you credit the author's display name and link to the canonical episode URL.
• Index the site and show a snippet with attribution and a link (search engines, AI assistants, aggregators).

• Re-hosting, re-uploading or redistributing an episode's media or full transcript.
• Commercial use of any kind, including inclusion in paid products or datasets sold to third parties.
• Training or fine-tuning machine-learning models on full episodes, transcripts or media.
• Derivative works (remixes, translations, dubs) intended for publication.

Reuse without attribution, after this public notice and the notice in /llms.txt, is a knowing disregard of the author's rights.

Write to the author through their profile, or email legal@thesonderaudio.com with the episode URL and the intended use; we will forward the request. Authors may license their work on any terms they choose, including Creative Commons — such terms, when the author states them on the episode page, override sections 2–3 for that episode.

Every episode page carries a SHA-256 content hash and an Ed25519 signature from Sonder. Anyone can check them at http://localhost:3300/api/verify?hash=… against the public keys at http://localhost:3300/.well-known/content-signing-keys.json. Hashes are additionally anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain through OpenTimestamps, so first-publication time can be verified without trusting Sonder.
